Check a few broken handle first, remove it
with the screwdriver. This includes removing all of the handle locks and metal
ornaments attached to the cabinet door except the hinges. This make for you to
paint freely without worrying about the handle. Thus produce an even and
perfect paint. Check out some parts of the wall cabinet, there may be hollow
parts. If you find a hollow part in the cabinet wall, patch with wood putty,
use a scrap of the elastic plate. And let it dry. Clean and puree the entire
surface of the wall cabinet with sandpaper, while removing some parts of the
paint that is still attached. Use a mask to avoid dust.
Now is the time for you to paint the entire
surface of the wall cabinet. Things to note are: if your cabinet painted with
paint timber, then it must be repainted also with wood paint. Whereas if the
cabinet base color is camphor, then do the painting with camphor as well. This
will produce a good result of painting, because it is made from the same
material. Regardless of whether you want to change the color, it does not
matter.
Open the cover of the paint can with a
screwdriver or scrap cans. Stir using small pieces of wood so that the entire
paint mixed and no deposits. Mix with paint thinner to paint wood. As for
camphor, use spritus for diluting. Take the brush and apply on the surface of
the wall cabinet with directions according to the flow or wood fiber. This will
produce a good painting.
If all parts of the cabinet has been painted,
let it dry in a few hours. Then paint again evenly and the “shadowing” should
not be visible.
Let the paint dry, then reattach handle and
lock of the cabinet. Replace the handle with a new one of the same type. Or you
can replace it with a different handle. However it should be noted that it has
the same whole size. If not, you have to create a new hole with the drill in
and close the previous hole. Attach the cabinet and put it back to its original
position gently. Do some cleaning of remaining paint on the floor or kitchen
table as part of the perfection of your work.
